Quick answers about eSIMs, installation, payments and refunds. Can't find what you need? Contact our support team.
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of inserting a plastic card, you download a mobile data plan to your device by scanning a QR code or entering the details manually. You can keep your usual SIM for calls and texts while using the eSIM for data abroad.
Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. Most recent iPhone, Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy models support eSIM, but support varies by model and by the country where the phone was bought. Check your device settings (for example, an option to "Add eSIM" or "Add mobile/cellular plan") or the manufacturer's specifications before you buy.
Immediately after your payment is confirmed. We send the QR code and installation details by email, and if you have an account they also appear under My eSIMs.
Scan the QR code from your email in your phone's mobile/cellular settings, or install it manually using the SM-DP+ address and activation code we send you. We recommend installing the eSIM before you travel while you are on Wi-Fi, and switching it on (with data roaming enabled for the eSIM line) when you arrive at your destination.
The validity period and when it starts are stated in the plan details shown before you buy. Please check them for the plan you choose.
You can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, as long as the eSIM has not been activated (installed on a device and connected to a mobile network). At checkout you ask us to deliver the eSIM straight away and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the eSIM is activated. If your activated eSIM does not work because of an error on our part, contact our support team. Approved refunds are paid to your original payment method (or as SimSwift points if you paid with points). See our Refund Policy for full details.
